Bray Tor Walk - Dartmoor

This walk involves visiting 8 features of interest and a whole heap of walking, about 10 miles by my estimate, but who's counting, when you walk in zig-zags up a steep Tor, for fear of your head exploding.Details of the walk were set out to be simple, yet challenging. I was walking alone in the middle of January and didn't want to be the fool that got lost on Dartmoor. My route was planned that once I had climbed to the highest point at the start of the walk, I would only ever have to walk downhill to the River Lydford, nearby to civilisation and then to escape at the nearby Inn, where the carpark is situated.

Give yourself a solid six hours of ambling, as the ascent is quite a breath-taker. Take it slow on the initial climb, and you will reap the benefits of the rest of the walk, which will be rewarded for the rest of the journey. Thank you any enjoy the River Lyd, Tour by Tor.
